In my art I am interested in both the human made constructions and the creations of nature. The comparison is inevitable yet both are awe inspiring. I want to emphasize the determination of the constructions and fragility of bones; slender movement of joints stopped by the dangerous and piercing light of x ray. I feel and paint the presence of the past in the medieval cloisters, alienated constructions of nowadays and I reflect on the lifespan of living creatures. As an artist, I am fascinated by light in all its forms. Recently I have been working on paintings, devoted to the aesthetic aspects of equine anatomy viewed through the prism of the light of x-ray images. I work in oil, using thin technique of painting and trying to achieve vibrant depth by multiple layers of paint.
